Unclassified Parks

Unclassified Parks are provincial parks that have not yet been assigned a formal classification. These parks may still be undergoing assessment to determine their primary purpose—whether that’s ecological protection, recreation, cultural preservation, or a mix of values. Until classified, their management goals remain undefined, though they are still part of Ontario’s protected area network. These parks may have limited public facilities or access, and some may be temporarily closed or under review. Over time, more information about each park’s features and significance helps determine its best use and long-term role within the broader Ontario Parks system.
